Medieval Armour

Restoration on a 19th Century Italian Medieval Style Armour This was a lovely piece of 19th century Italian medieval style full suit of armour with shield and axe.  My customer had asked if I could clean it up a little bit. But with over 150 years of dirt the armour and its etched features were black and difficult to see, especially the etching on the legs and feet. They also asked if I could improve its stand as it was wobbling and the armour would full apart on it. The visor of the helmet was in 2 pieces and needed adjusting...

Pitched Pine cabinet

Restoration Job on a Pine Cabinet  Here was a tired pine sideboard that was worn out and left in a shed. I thought this would be a fantastic project to tidy up. Cello Case

Small Restoration Project on a W. E. Hills and sons Cello Case I found this piece in an old shop that was closing down the exterior had been bashed about for years with out any care to it. As this case had been Ebonised in the past I decided to re coat the case with an ebony stain. I applied 2 coats...

Some needed abit of force due to rusty screws being rounded off. Then unscrewed the rails to each end giving them a slight rub down on the metal to take off the rust Mark's. Some screws...

Hourglass Table

This Hourglass Side Table Was One of My Smaller Restoration Projects My client brought this to me asking to give a new paint job as his partner had painted it the wrong colour and neither of them liked it. This paint was hard to strip off in some places but easy on others. I completely took the piece apart. And stripped each piece by hand which took many hours. While stripping this hourglass I also notice the glass had paint dripped all around it which needed strip off and cleaning. The glass once paint was removed I cleaned with white...
