Rare Victorian Newton Wilson and Co Princess of Wales Sewing Machine. No. 89118. C1870s. This Sewing machine was very popular for the middle classes during the Victorian era. The machine has some paint flaking off, gilding has worn off in places. And the large spinning wheel seems to be stuck. All other movable parts seem to be working. Manufacturers name has worn off the the plate. Made out of cast iron these machines were built to last.
