Lagan Valley Bowls Club, Bowl Trophy
A fantastic bowls trophy made from a 19th century rosewood bowl with mother of pearl inserts fitted to a later mahogany base. The trophy has been awarded to J.H.Anderson three times, 1945, 1946, 1952. Then the front plaque is inscribed Paris 1952. The 1952 plaque to the side also has paris next to the L.V.B.C with Mr Anderson initials and last name. 1946 plaque same club awarded for sunday mornings pool. 1945 was for runner up in the championship 1945. The bowl itself has a crack through it which gives it part of its charm. Mahogany base has some lovely fine box joints to each corner. Some minor scuffs and some old stain fading over the years but a great little item.
