19th century straight or cut throat razor, made in Sheffield by the makers Joseph Rodgers and sons, cutlers to their majesty, no6 Norfolk street, Sheffield,  England. All this is etched to the shaft of the blade to one side and etched to the blade is Joseph Rodgers and sons Matchless. On the reverse side to the shaft it is etched ground in Sheffield. The steel blade is weathered and in need of a clean and sterilising. The handle is a black celluloid with a flat back. Some minor chips have been caused over the years a couple of small ones on the inside of the front plate where the tip of the blade has caught it, the other chip is to the back on the outside, nothing major just a few small Knicks. Has some scoffing to the back and the back has the number 22 moulded to the handle.
