19th Century Japanese Sumida Gawa lidded jar, depicts four monkeys in total. Three of which are on the front and it looks like they are all on a large branch collecting fruit onto a basket. The jar features a red ridged body with blue, green, brown and black glazed top. The same glazing is used on the lid with a monkey sitting on it next to it's fruit.

Unfortunalty there is some damage to the large branch, it has two bits of it missing, the left monkey on the main body of the vase has half it's arm missing and finger tips on the other hand missing. There are a couple of chips to the top of the rim where the lid sits. Most of this damage is un-noticeable apart from the finger tips. The lid has a chip off the back underneath the lip. The monkey on the top of the vase has a couple of fingers and some toes missing. All damage has been photographed and should be able to be seen within images.
