Antique/ Vintage Flag of the city of Bombay now Mumbai 1949. This is a framed vintage fabric representation of the old heraldic Arms of Bombay. The coat of arms dates from the British colonial era before the city was officially renamed Mumbai in 1995. The banner of Sir Reginald spence, District. G.M of bombay who presented it to the museum 1949. D.G.L. stitched to the top believed to mean District Grand Lodge of Bombay. The bombay city coat of arms to the centre and bombay stitched underneath. Has slight piece of wear with a hole in the material but otherwise really nice condition. Lovey historical piece.
