Antique Arts and Crafts Oak Tantalus with Drawer. Three glass Decanters housed to the back of the tantalus. Brass fittings to the corners and tops, wonderful brass handles. Original key opens the top to lift out Decanters, fitted interior also to the back is a hidden button to relief the drawer to open. Inside this fitted drawer I found a receipt from 1991 when this oak tantalus was purchased for the total some of £425. One of the Decanters has a large chip to the rim. A stopper has large pieces missing off the bottom of the stopper, the decanter does sill with the broken stopper still. Another stopper has a chip to it. The base of the tantalus has chips of wood missing around he edges. Drawer does not sit flush. Minor age related damage that does not effect the look of the oak tantalus.
