19th century Indian campaign travel companion or writing box, with brass handles and original key. The outside of the teak Box/ trunk companion show signs of use and wear with some of the corner edges chipped off and missing. Brass missing from the front key hole, also water marks and ring marks to the top. The inside has had the lock latch repaired with a couple small bits of brass trim missing. The interior is fully fitted with 3 compartments with hinged doors, plus 6 other open storage compartments. A letter rack on the inside of the lid. Under the 2 compartments at the front they lift out to reveal an open compartment with a single draw with 3 compartments.
