This stunning french mantle clock by Dreyfous has marcasite and rubies inserted in the silver, with a clock to the top half and a miniature watercolour of two putti or cherubs to the lower half, this clock just screams quality. It is in good working order. It kept good time for the 6 hours I tried it. I did not want to over wind the clock this is why it was only a 6 hour test. The clock is mounted to a white marble base with a plaque reading 'que ces heures vous soient routes heureuses' which translates to 'may these hours be filled with happiness for you'. More silver, Ruby and marcasite floral decoration to the front of the marble and this all sits on 4 silver feet. The back of the clock is loose and can fall out, and a single marcasite is missing. Apart from this the clock has minor age related wear, nothing that stands out, it is in great condition and the clock itself is a piece of art work.
