Antique Chinese Chrysanthemum Stone Libation Cup. Heavily carved chrysanthemum stone. Carved around the chrysanthemum pattern with leaves. The handle has a mythical creature to the end of it. Handle has been carved to fit the palm of a hand in the crease with thumb pointing upwards. Cup shaped has been carved to the main body with a shallow groove for liquid to pour from. The chrysanthemum stone was a sort after stone originating from the southern provenance of China. This cup would have for ceremony purposes. Having damage to the edges of the stoneover the years. Otherwise this is an amazing looking piece.
